Ramsey admits left out of Arsenal.
Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey admits he still doesn’t understand. He was release from Premier League giants Arsenal in 2019 on a free transfer.
The Red Dragon star had a great time with The Gunners in the era of Arsene Wenger, but after that, when Unai Emery took over the job. He was uncontracted and moved to Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2019. But was unable to secure a place in the starting XI until his contract was terminate last season and joined Nice. H in the French Ligue 1 last summer.
Ramsey has told The Times about the time before his move from Arsenal to Juventus, saying:
I have reached an agreement on a new contract with Arsenal but it has been quiet for weeks. I told the agent to deal with it. Then everything happened very quickly. I have not renew in any way.”
“There are no contracts or agreements at all. It was a difficult start in the first few months with Unai Emri as the season progressed I played more and played well. Then in January I had to decide whether to stay at the club and wait for my contract to expire or to come to an agreement with another club.”
“I decided to do that because there were no offers from Arsenal, a lot has changed since the arrival of the new manager. I don’t understand I still don’t know what will happen,” Ramsey said.
